Salaam – I hope you and your family are doing well, Inshā’Allāh.
I would describe myself as a loving, empathetic, trustworthy, and non-judgemental person (with a blonde moment here and there!).
I work in Social Care, supporting young people from different backgrounds who may have disabilities, trauma, substance misuse, or mental health difficulties. I also support the elderly and provide end-of-life care, which I find very rewarding. Alongside this, I’m a qualified dental nurse and mental health peer support worker.
My dīn is very important to me. I try my best with my daily prayers, and Inshā’Allāh I will reach the stage of praying all five every day. I’ve kept all my fasts since I was 10 and have been blessed with the opportunity to perform ‘Umrah. My dream is to perform Hajj with my husband one day, Inshā’Allāh.
I have traditional values with a modern outlook — I appreciate both Eastern and Western culture but with my main focus on being a good person, respecting others, and keeping my faith at the centre.
Outside of work, I love going to the gym and would love a gym buddy. I’m 5ft 9 and a size 10, Alhamdulillāh, which I’m comfortable with. I enjoy cooking, though I prefer vegetarian food and only eat meat occasionally. I have a massive sweet tooth, and I’m always up for trying new foods, new activities, travelling, or simply having a chilled Netflix day.
I’m very close to my two younger brothers, who I raised from birth, and I also have two beautiful cats who are such a blessing to me.
Personality-wise:
I’m far too trusting and giving at times, but I’m working on finding balance.
I’m open-minded and always striving to grow, learn, and better myself.
I love deep, meaningful conversations.
I believe marriage is teamwork — it’s about two people with shared goals and values, building together, not against each other. Communication, compromise, and kindness are key.
Lastly, people often misjudge me based on my style or my burgundy hair (which I’ve had for 13+ years and don’t plan on changing!). But beyond the “resting B face” I get accused of, I’m really just a softie at heart.
My dīn inspires me to give back. I recently took part in charity work and found it so fulfilling — Inshā’Allāh, I hope to continue this throughout my life.
I’m grateful every day to Allah for His blessings, even the struggles — because they’ve shaped me into who I am today.
